About Me
I was born and raised in Alaska, the last frontier. And I currently live in Texas. As a child, I spent lots of time outdoors, immersed in the wilderness, away from most technology. I tried to make the most of the world around me through my imagination, being surrounded by rivers, mountains, oceans, and tundra. With office supplies and a Waldorf school that pushed for creativity, my story as a young artist began. During my career as an artist and designer, I've focused on global culture with an occasional engagement with pop elements with a sci-fi twist, using surreal space elements and saturated colors. Much of my artwork is an evolution, as I incorporate a lot of texture and attention into my digital paintings. I've pushed many of these art designs onto clothes using heat press technology, screen printing, and DTG printing, and I'm currently managing a clothing shop with the goal of offering nothing but the most stellar work for my esteemed audience. My goal is to push more movement, composition, and immersion into the artwork that I put out into the world.
Creativity was like my calling card, and drawing made me feel powerful. It pulled me away from the world and all the chaos of everything, and I felt focused and determined, and I didn't feel that as much with other things like sports. Art felt necessary to me; it wasn’t just this thing to pass the time; I wanted more from it as I viewed it as a way to elevate my life and to bring peace to myself and others. It was an escape for me. I'd say that being surrounded by nature was also what started my journey into the art world as I had to experience elevating places to be a creative individual.
My work aims to say that our existence is ethereal; we are more than just this presence or a number in the system; we have potential within ourselves. My artwork represents the evolution of people and places; it's based on different cultures and ideals. The statement that "we are celestial beings" rings true because it underlines the power that we were born with, which is the power to change the world around us through our individual actions, words, and love itself.
